Exactly 438 days ago, I minted my first Music NFT.

Since then, it's been a wild journey finding my footing in web3.

In that time, I've been fortunate enough to:

  • Raise 50 ETH for my EP Overstimulated
  • Sell 26 1/1s on Catalog for a total of 33 ETH
  • Sell 175 editions on Sound for 17.5 ETH in primary sales and 70 ETH in secondary sales
  • Drop a generative collection on Beat Foundry
  • Perform my first headline show in LA at 1720
  • Perform at the Brooklyn Mirage and Marquee
  • Be featured in TIME

It’s been three months since the crowdfund that changed my life.

Today - I’m happy to share that Overstimulated is live for the world to enjoy.

We’re celebrating the launch of the EP with a special airdrop to collectors and contributors - putting $OVERSTIM tokens into the hands of those who made this whole journey possible.

The past couple of months have been life-changing. I've met some of my favorite artists, shot a short film, and have seen a community rally around me with open arms.

The immediate events following the closing of $OVERSTIM were all surrounded with excitement. But, as the dust started to settle, reality started to take hold.

  • How would I recoup 50 ETH worth of streaming royalties?
  • Do people value my music - the very vehicle that got me here - or are they more interested in this experiment and less the artistic effort that went in to the songs?
  • How do I allocate my time?
  • How do I decide which meetings to take?
  • How do I run a discord?
  • Did I just get ridiculously lucky?

What I’m getting at is that raising 50 ETH hasn’t been all sunshine and rainbows. I’m sure imposter syndrome plays a pretty big role here; I went from being a 24 year old artist/producer throwing a bunch of odd jobs together to make ends meet to making a mid 6-figure income within the span of a couple months. I’m incredibly grateful for my uptick in financial stability, but I would be lying if I sat here and said I was totally prepared for the change of pace.
